"We are seeking a visionary and strategic individual who can operate effectively in the public spotlight, as a spokesperson and ambassador for the charity."
Kaaeed Mamujee, President
Thank you for your interest in joining the Chartered Accountants’ Benevolent Association (CABA) as Chief Executive, when Kath Haines steps down after 10 years leading the organisation.
CABA is an ambitious and forward-thinking (global) charity, which has supported tens of thousands of Chartered Accountants and their families over the past five generations. CABA does this by placing their wellbeing at the heart of everything it does, recognising the pressures of today’s complex, fast-paced and digital world and by taking a holistic approach to the support that is offered. CABA operates entirely separately from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. As well as making grants and donations for those in financial need, we deliver a wide range of free services, working closely with a variety of trusted partners. Services and support offered by CABA include: emotional support; health and carer support; financial assistance; debt advice; career development; legal advice; wellbeing services and making the move abroad.
CABA is on a solid financial footing having enjoyed a decade of growth and consolidation. Although, like many charities, the organisation needs to respond to changes in the external operating environment caused by a range of political and regulatory factors, this is an exciting time for CABA with tremendous potential for future growth. This is a pivotal moment to join us as Chief Executive to build upon our achievements to date and to lead CABA through its next phase of development. The successful candidate will share the passion, drive and commitment of the Board and leadership team and be enthused by the opportunity to lead through a period of transformation.
We are seeking a visionary and strategic individual who can operate effectively in the public spotlight, as a spokesperson and ambassador for the charity. You will be skilled at partnership working and be a natural alliance builder with an outward-facing style. You will also be credible internally, working effectively with our senior leadership team and Board of trustees to ensure that our people, governance and operations are effective. You will use proven and effective leadership skills to excel at both the internal and external elements of this critical position. Experience as a Chartered Accountant is not necessary, but commercial acumen and an understanding of how to engage with businesses effectively is vital. You will come to us with a proven track record of leadership and perhaps most importantly a level of drive and ambition for the future that matches our own.
If you believe you have the skills and attributes that we are looking for then we would welcome your application.
