- Job Ref:
CABA (Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association) is an ambitious and forward-thinking global charity and we have supported tens of thousands of Chartered Accountants and their families for over 100 years. We are a people-focussed organisation, and a credible and trusted voice on wellbeing for those that we support and the wider community. Recognising the pressures of today’s complex, fast-paced and digital world, we place their wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and take a holistic approach to the wide range of free services we offer. As well as making financial grants and donations for those in need, our services include emotional support, health and carer support, debt advice, career development and wellbeing services, which we deliver by working closely with a variety of trusted partners across charity and public sectors.
As an organisation we have enjoyed a decade of growth and are on a solid financial footing, which means we are constrained only by our own ambition and vision for the future. It’s an exciting time for CABA with tremendous potential for future growth. Now is a pivotal moment to join us as Chief Executive to build upon our achievements to date and to lead the organisation through this next phase of development.
We are seeking a visionary and strategic individual who can operate effectively in the public spotlight, as a spokesperson and ambassador for the charity. You will come to us with a proven track record of leadership and a level of drive and ambition for the future that matches our own. You will be highly skilled at partnership working and be a natural alliance builder with an outward-facing style. You will also be credible internally, working effectively with our senior leadership team and Board of Trustees to ensure that our people, governance and operations are effective.
This is a real opportunity to make your mark, and we are seeking someone who not only shares the passion, drive and commitment of the Board and Senior Leadership Team but is enthused by the opportunity to lead through a period of transformation. Experience as a Chartered Accountant is not necessary, but commercial acumen and an understanding of how to engage with businesses effectively is vital.
